The Borough Early Intervention Team

We work very closely with the Borough Early Intervention Team and assist the work they do where we can.  We have recently supported them through providing funding for level 2 and 3 fitness courses for small groups young men potentially at risk of offending, and helping to get them onto a different path and in the long term employment/

BEIT’s aim is to end gang and serious youth violence.

The service offers:-

• home visits;
• assessment and action plans to prevent the young person offending;
• one-to-one and group support which addresses the specific needs of the young person, this could include support around education, training, peer and family relationships as well as accessing youth provision and positive activities; and
• training by professionals about crime prevention and gang involvement including drugs
• access to Battersea Summer Scheme’s trips and Residentials

Referrals can be made by an individual, family, school, the police and other agencies working with young people and families.
